Suzan Herzig R.R.T., R.C.P. has been a Respiratory Therapist since 1983, and has dedicated her career to UCSD Medical Center’s Respiratory Care Department. Beginning as a technician at UCSD in 1983, she focused on their Cystic Fibrosis population. She provided data support to the initial implementation of the protocol program in 1992. She continued her education pursuing her RRT, and eventually, transitioned into her current position as Patient Driven Protocol Coordinator. Over the years she has presented 5 abstracts at the National conference, lectured on protocols at the AARC Summer Forum and Bright Horizons and she pens the monthly “Inspirational Newsletter” for the department.
